Theta Xi Fraternity has been an integral part of the UNO community since the founding of Delta Gamma Chi on October 14, 1959 and the founding of Delta Sigma Xi on March 16, 1960.  These two local fraternities later merged and formed the basis for the Beta Xi Chapter of Theta Xi Fraternity which was chartered at Louisiana State University in New Orleans (now the University of New Orleans) on January 11, 1963.

As our fraternity has developed over time we have had the establishment of Theta Xi members in very influential positions throughout the country. Out of all the chapters in the nation, our chapter holds the best alumni relations. These positive relations, coupled with the skills learned within the chapter, can lead to a promising future once college is completed.
